The English Department of the Faculty of Philology, at the University of Prizren "Ukshin Hoti", is a fully-accredited programme offering a wide range of courses and a degree programme covering the study of English language and linguistics, teaching methodology, and literature. Our programme attracts a large number of students expressing their wish to succeed at the highest levels of the academy and beyond. A highly demanding and rigorous intellectual and professional environment is maintained to ensure that all students who complete our programme will have the best graduate experience possible. The department has also a graduate student society.

Aims and objectives of the English Department
The primary objective of our department is to train and prepare students to become 1) English language teachers, equipped with contemporary knowledge and teaching skills able to transfer their gained skills to their students, and 2) fluent English speakers for successful careers in academic and non-academic positions across the country and abroad. etc. Choosing to study in the English language programme of Faculty of Philology at the University of Prizren, is a crucial step towards reaching your individual goals. A number of workshops offer students opportunities to present and discuss work in progress and to hear and comment on current work by other students. Students are also provided with opportunities to do internships in state or private schools, to ensure they get familiar with the educational system and develop their teaching skills and experiences.
