University \"Ukshin Hoti\" Prizren awarded the title of Honorary Doctor \"Dr. Honoris Causa \u201d, for Mr. Christopher S. Hyland<\/h3><\/div>

“Ukshin Hoti” University of Prizren, on Wednesday awarded the title of Honorary Doctor “Dr. Honoris Causa \u201d, for Mr. Christopher S. Hyland, advisor to former President Bill Clinton, who was handed over to Rector Prof. Assoc. Dr. Samedin Krrabaj. This title was awarded for significant commitment and contribution to the cause of Kosovo’s Independence and the development of interpersonal relations, support and strengthening of peace.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was attended by, in addition to the leading structures of the University and the staff, also representatives of central and local institutions and religious communities.<\/p>\n

Rector Krrabaj on this occasion stressed that Mr. Hayland has also made valuable contributions to many social and humanitarian causes. The efforts of Mr. Hyland for a freer and safer world are examples that Mr. Hyland can give to the young people and intellectuals of a country that is trying every day to integrate more and more with the values of democracy and the rule of law in the wider Euro-Atlantic space. All activity, career and contributions given by Mr. Hyland motivates us to appreciate today with the title Dr. Honoris Causa z. Hyland, as a man who embodies the high features of the values of freedom and democracy that inspire young Albanians, intellectuals, students, professors and researchers who aspire to fulfill these values.<\/p>\n

Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Mr. Dukagjin Popovci said that the decision of the University as quite appropriate, emphasizing that Mr. Hayland has special merit for his contribution to the national cause.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Mr. Christopher S. Hyland thanked Ukshin Hoti University for this title, emphasizing that he will be grateful for the time. He added excited that he will continue to support the state and people of Kosovo, expressing optimism for the future of the country.<\/p>\n

With this title the University has honored many personalities, such as: Mr. Erhard Buhler – former KFOR Commander in Kosovo, Mrs. Nexhmije Pagarusha – Singer and actress, Mr. Rupert Neudeck – German journalist and humanist, Dr. Elaine Berkowitz – Citizen of the United States of America and writer Mr. Ismail Kadare.<\/p>\n
