The Center for Excellence in Teaching organized the first training for the academic staff of the University<\/h3><\/div>
<\/p>\n

The Center for Excellence in Teaching of the University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren, on Wednesday 14.12.2022, organized the first training for the academic staff of the University. Trainers Prof. Asst. Dr. Pranvera Jetishi-Qollaku and Prof. Asst. Dr. Serdan Kervan held the “Theories of learning” training module, while Prof. Asst. Dr. Vjollca Dibra held the training mobile “Active learning”.<\/p>\n

Purpose of the module “Theories of Learning” focuses on dealing with the main concepts of these theories and their application in contemporary teaching with students. Encouraging all of their classroom involvement, motivation, flexibility, differentiated learning, project\/research learning, creative thinking, problem-solving and critical thinking. So, the purpose of the Learning Theories module is to equip professionals with the knowledge, skills and competencies related to theory and practice, for teaching with the student at the center of the learning process, which is the challenge of contemporary pedagogy.<\/p>\n

  • Demonstrates a systematic understanding of key aspects of learning theories;<\/li>\n
  • Critically reflects on learning theories and their application in practice;<\/li>\n
  • Applies learning theories to teaching by fostering motivation, flexibility, problem-solving and critical thinking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Teaching methodology<\/p>\n

    The module will be developed using contemporary teaching methodologies and techniques, through interactive learning, discussions, demonstrations, and presentations as well as using different forms of work, such as individual, pairs, group work, etc.<\/p>\n

    The purpose of the module “Active learning” aims to develop in teachers\u2019 techniques and activities that help promote the student-centered strategy, through the use of their previous knowledge and skills, encouraging debates, reading and writing. academic and creative as well as including a reflective process for their learning in order to develop critical and creative thinking.<\/p>\n

    Learning outcomes<\/p>\n

    • Explains active learning as an active involvement in the learning process;<\/li>\n
    • Adds skills of implementing interactive teaching techniques;<\/li>\n
    • Develops professional skills for implementing interaction in the classroom, which contribute to the development of critical and creative thinking;<\/li>\n
