Rector Alishani had a meeting with the two project representatives: \u201cPrivate Sector Partnerships to Strengthen Higher Education\u201d and \u201cHigher Education Intervention 2025\u201d<\/h3><\/div>

On Wednesday, Professor Associate Doctor Mentor Alishani, the Rector of Prizren University “Ukshin Hoti,” conducted a meeting with Ms. Elmaze Gashi, the leader of the project activity titled “Private Sector Partnerships to Strengthen Higher Education.” This project, worth 4 million dollars, is financed by USAID and led by the Iowa Consortium, comprising Iowa University, in collaboration with the Public University of Iowa and the Kosovo Education Center. Prizren University also will benefit from this collaboration. The main goal of the project is to enhance collaboration between the private sector and Kosovo universities in the fields of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and agribusiness. Implementation of this project began in April 2023.<\/p>\n

Ms. Edita Bu\u00e7inca, the manager of the “Higher Education Intervention 2025 (HEI25)” project, was also in attendance at the meeting. This project is funded by the Austrian Agency for Development in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation, as well as the Kosovo Accreditation Agency.<\/p>\n

The implementation of this project is carried out by the Kosovo Education Center and the Organization for Quality Improvement in Education. With a budget of 1.5 million Euros, the project aims to promote the advancement of higher education through increasing the democratization of higher education institutions, digitalizing education processes, and creating competitiveness among public universities. This project will provide research grants for students and professors, will help the digitalization of processes at the Kosovo Accreditation Agency and the National Center for the Recognition of Diplomas (NARIC), and, for the first time, establish a ranking platform for public universities. The implementation of this project was initiated at the beginning of this year.<\/p>\n

Firstly, Rector Alishani emphasized the importance of this project for the development of higher education, particularly for Prizren University. He expressed his commitment to ensuring the successful implementation of all the planned activities that are directly related to the university.<\/p>\n

The University representatives were Rector Alishani, Nexhmedin Krasniqi \u2013 General Secretary and Tauland Tha\u00e7i \u2013 leader of the Project Office.<\/p>\n
