Rector Alishani was part of the promotion of the Albanian language orthographic dictionary, drafted by QEP and supported by MESTI<\/h3><\/div>

The promotion of the 300-thousand-page (A4) orthographic dictionary of the Albanian language took place on Saturday at Prizren University “Ukshin Hoti. The dictionary was created by the Education and Advancement Center in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation.<\/p>\n

During the organized ceremony for this occasion, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani, Rector of Prizren University “Ukshin Hoti”, emphasized that this promotion represents a significant contribution to the development of the Albanian language. He highlighted its importance in helping people learn new words and improve their language knowledge.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, he expressed his appreciation to the creators of the dictionary for promoting their remarkable work at Prizren University “Ukshin Hoti.” He emphasized that the university welcomes individuals who wish to promote scientific achievements.<\/p>\n

This promotion was attended by members of National Scientific Council of the Albanian language, including Prof. Dr. Emil Lafe and Prof. Dr. Enver Hysa, Prof. Assoc. Adelina \u00c7epani from Albania, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ibrahimi, Prof. Dr. Asllan Hamiti and Prof. Dr. Ismet Osmani from North Macedonia. Whereas Kosovo was represented by Prof. Dr. Hysen Matoshi and Prof. Dr. Bahri Koskoviku.<\/p>\n

In addition, the meeting was attended by representatives from Prizren University “Ukshin Hoti,” including Prof. Assoc. Dr. Xhafer Beqiraj, the Dean of the Faculty of Philology, and Prof. Assoc. Dr. Shk\u00eblqim Millaku.<\/p>\n

This dictionary presents approximately 100,000 words, along with their grammatical forms and additional information for each word. It includes a selection of 8.000.000-word forms that have been digitized and made easily accessible through the internet for every Albanian.<\/p>\n

This book promotion took place on 10 June, 2023, on the 145th anniversary of the Albanian League of Prizren.<\/p>\n
