Rector Alishani met with Dr. Curtis Youngs of Iowa State University, partner in the implementation of the project “Private Sector Partnerships to Strengthen Higher Education
The Rector, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani, met with Dr. Curtis R Youngs, a representative from Iowa State University, who is a partner in the implementation of the project “Private Sector Partnerships to Strengthen Higher Education.” This project is funded by USAID and Prizren University “Ukshin Hoti” benefits from it.
Rector Alishani mentioned his interest in achieving results with this project, and mentioned the active engaging of the University staff. He believes this project will address an important component, which is establishing a solid partnership with the industry.
On the other hand, Professor Youngs congratulated Rector Alishani on his new role and highlighted that by working together, they will ensure the success of this project.
The launch of the project “Private Sector to Strengthen Higher Education” took place on April 24, 2023 and it will last for 5 years.
The main goal is to increase the collaboration between the private sector and Kosovo universities in the sectors of Information and Communication Technology and agribusiness.
This project is a huge success for the University as it will help adapt these study programs to the labor market, and also prepare graduate students for the job market.
