

Dr. Carl Canlas Concludes His Visit to University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren within the Fulbright Specialist Program
Following a successful period of academic and professional collaboration, American expert Dr. Carl Canlas has concluded his visit to University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren, carried out within the framework of the Fulbright Specialist Program.
As a token of appreciation for his valuable contribution to the development of academic and professional activities under the Fulbright Specialist Program, the Rector of “Ukshin Hoti” University in Prizren, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani, presented Dr. Canlas with a certificate of appreciation. On this occasion, Rector Alishani thanked Dr. Canlas for his commitment, expertise, and fruitful cooperation with the academic staff, administrative staff, and students, emphasizing the importance of international projects in advancing the quality of higher education and strengthening academic ties between Kosovo and the United States of America.
During his stay, Dr. Canlas conducted a series of training sessions, workshops, and lectures for academic staff, administrative staff, and students, sharing his experience and expertise in the fields of artificial intelligence, innovation, and higher education. These activities provided valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, professional development, and discussions on the ethical and effective use of emerging technologies within the university environment.
One of the most significant outcomes of this collaboration was the drafting of the Regulation on the Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence at University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren, which will serve as a guiding document for the responsible integration of artificial intelligence into academic and administrative processes.
The project activities were coordinated by Prof. Ass. Dr. Dorinë Rakaj, ensuring the active involvement of academic staff, administrative staff, and students, as well as the successful achievement of the program’s objectives.
The University extends its gratitude to the Embassy of the United States of America in Kosovo and the Fulbright Specialist Program for their continued support in strengthening international academic cooperation and enhancing institutional capacities.
