

University of Prizren Moves Toward Establishing the Green Innovation Lab
Prizren, September 9, 2025 – A joint meeting was held today at the premises of the “Ukshin Hoti” University of Prizren between representatives of the European Union Office in Kosovo, CARE, EC Ma Ndryshe, and representatives of the University, regarding the establishment of the Green Innovation Lab.
This lab will serve as a dynamic center for research, education, and innovation in the field of sustainable environmental practices and green technologies. It will operate under the supervision of the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Prizren, creating new opportunities for students, academics, and the local community.
The initiative is part of the project “Green Horizons – Youth- and Community-Led Green Transition Initiative in Western Kosovo”, implemented by CARE and co-funded by the European Union.

This development represents a significant step in strengthening the University’s role as an engaged actor in addressing green transition and sustainable development challenges in Kosovo, through the direct involvement of youth and the local community.
