University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren Organized a Promotional Activity of the Erasmus+ SINCERE Project with Students
The University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren organized a promotional activity of the Erasmus+ SINCERE project (Strengthening Integrity and Ethical Culture in Regional Higher Education), with the participation of university students. The activity aimed to promote academic integrity, ethics in higher education, and the development of a responsible academic culture.
During the event, students were introduced to the main objectives of the SINCERE project, which include strengthening the culture of academic integrity, developing institutional practices for ethics and transparency, and raising awareness about plagiarism, the proper use of academic sources, and responsibility in academic work.
The activity was conducted in an interactive format through discussions and practical exercises with students. The presentation addressed topics related to plagiarism, the “grey areas” of academic integrity, ethical decision-making, and the importance of original work at the university. Students participated in various activities such as “What Is and What Is Not,” “What Would You Do?” and “Our Message,” where they reflected on academic responsibility and the importance of building their reputation through honest work.
During the event, a proposal for an Academic Integrity Monitoring Platform was also presented. The proposed platform aims to integrate Turnitin, the Learning Management System (LMS), and an institutional system for monitoring and reporting cases related to academic integrity. It is designed to monitor plagiarism cases, the use of AI-generated content, LMS activities, as well as institutional training and performance in the field of academic integrity.
The presentation highlighted the core principle of the proposed system: “Turnitin detects, the LMS records, and the dashboard monitors,” with the goal of establishing an evidence-based institutional mechanism for managing and promoting academic integrity at the university.
The activity was organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ SINCERE project, which seeks to strengthen the culture of ethics and academic integrity in higher education institutions across the region.
