

Fourth Edition of the International Summer School Opens at “Ukshin Hoti” University of Prizren
“Ukshin Hoti” University of Prizren has officially launched the Fourth Edition of its International Summer School, with an opening ceremony held on July 30, 2025, marking one of the university’s most significant academic and international events of the year.
This year’s program welcomes approximately 200 students from over 40 countries, fostering a vibrant exchange of cultures, ideas, and academic perspectives. The Summer School features six interdisciplinary modules delivered by internationally recognized mentors, covering topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Environmental Studies, Language and Literature, Global Education, Gender Equality, and International Economics.
In his opening remarks, Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mentor Alishani emphasized the school’s role in advancing the university’s strategic goal of internationalization and thanked all institutional partners for their support. Special acknowledgment was given to the Ministries of Education, Foreign Affairs, and Culture, as well as the municipalities of Prizren, Suhareka, Rahovec, Dragash, Malisheva, and Gjakova, whose contributions have been vital to the success of this initiative.
Keynote addresses were delivered by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Ms. Liza Gashi, who underlined the importance of educational diplomacy and diaspora engagement, and by DokuFest Director, Mr. Eroll Bilibani, who spoke about the power of collaboration between education and the arts in fostering global dialogue.
The Rector also expressed his appreciation to private sponsors, the Organizing Committee, and student assistants for their commitment and dedication.
Running through August 8, 2025, the Summer School offers participants intensive lectures, practical workshops, international panel discussions, cultural events, and exploratory visits around the historic city of Prizren.
