On 22 September 2025, the “Ukshin Hoti” University of Prizren hosted a meeting between Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mentor Alishani, Dean of the Faculty of Law Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muharem Faiku, and Ms. Leonora Hasani, Program Manager at the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF).

During the meeting, the parties explored opportunities for joint activities within DCAF’s regional cybersecurity project, funded through March 2026. It was agreed that the Faculty of Law will organize a series of specialized sessions for students, focusing on legal frameworks and practical approaches to cybersecurity.
A key goal of the program is to empower women and girls, helping them strengthen their knowledge and skills in this critical field.

Fully supported by DCAF, the initiative will feature expert lecturers and awareness-raising activities to highlight the growing importance of cybersecurity in today’s digital era.

Rector Alishani and Dean Faiku thanked DCAF for its commitment and emphasized the value of offering law students hands-on opportunities that link their legal education with modern security challenges.
