

CIVIC – The Newest Erasmus+ Project of the University of Prizren “Ukshin Hoti”
The University of Prizren “Ukshin Hoti” has been selected as an institutional partner and beneficiary within the Erasmus+ project “CIVIC: Crafting Innovative Virtual Interactions for Civic Competences”, led by UC Leuven University College Leuven-Limburg (Belgium). The project brings together an international consortium of partners from Belgium, Greece, Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The project aims to strengthen civic and democratic competences through innovative virtual interactions between students and academic staff from EU and Western Balkan countries.
Within the framework of the CIVIC project, the University of Prizren will contribute to:
- Developing intercultural modules for civic education and regional cooperation;
- Creating digital learning platforms for virtual interaction among students from different countries;
- Enhancing the capacities of academic and administrative staff in areas of equality, resilience, and social inclusion;
- Encouraging youth participation in democratic life and fostering stronger ties with the European Union.
The project focuses on the strategic development priorities of the Western Balkans, including:
- Accelerating the European integration process;
- Strengthening the rule of law;
- Promoting economic cooperation and social cohesion between EU and Western Balkan countries.
Expected outcomes include increased civic awareness, improved intercultural dialogue skills, and the development of innovative mechanisms for virtual exchange and assessment.
This initiative marks another important step for the University of Prizren toward internationalization and consolidation of its role as a promoter of quality education, innovation, and active citizenship.
