

Universiteti "Ukshin Hoti" Prizren Marks the 18th Anniversary of Kosovo’s Independence with a Cultural Event
At University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren, the Parliament of Students organized a cultural event to mark the 18th anniversary of the Independence of the Kosovo.
The event was held in the university amphitheater in the presence of students, academic and administrative staff, as well as numerous guests. On this occasion, the Rector of the University, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani, emphasized that February 17 represents one of the most important dates in our recent national history, underlining the necessity for present and future generations to reflect and work toward safeguarding the sublime sacrifice made for the independence of our state.
The President the Parliament of Students, Riad Bislimaj, stated that this activity is a testament to students’ commitment to honoring national history, adding that the younger generation is aware of the responsibility it bears toward the country’s past and future.
The historical and state-building significance of Kosovo’s Independence was also addressed by Prof. Assoc. Dr. Xhafer Beqiraj, who highlighted the long journey toward freedom and statehood.
As part of the event, attendees enjoyed a rich artistic program consisting of monologues, poetry recitals, and traditional dances, creating a festive and dignified atmosphere in commemoration of this important date.
