Fulbright Specialist Dr. Carl Canlas Conducts Training Activities at the University of Prizren

During his visit to the University of Prizren “Ukshin Hoti” within the framework of the Fulbright Specialist Program, American expert Dr. Carl Canlas conducted a series of training sessions and professional activities focused on the use of Artificial Intelligence in higher education, institutional development, and the advancement of academic processes.

The trainings were organized for different target groups, including academic staff, administrative staff, and students, with the aim of providing practical knowledge and skills for integrating modern technologies into teaching, research, and university administration. Through interactive sessions, participants had the opportunity to learn about international best practices for the ethical and effective use of Artificial Intelligence, as well as the challenges and opportunities that this technology brings to higher education.

Dr. Canlas’s visit and the implementation of these training activities reflect the University of Prizren’s commitment to creating continuous professional development opportunities for its staff and students, while strengthening cooperation with international partners and keeping pace with the latest trends in contemporary education.

One of the most significant outcomes of the project is the development of the Regulation on the Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Prizren “Ukshin Hoti”, which aims to provide guidelines and standards for the responsible, transparent, and ethical use of Artificial Intelligence technologies in academic and administrative processes.

These activities were coordinated by Prof. Ass. Dr. Dorinë Rakaj, Fulbright Specialist Project Coordinator at the University of Prizren “Ukshin Hoti”, who led the organization and implementation of the project in cooperation with the university management.
