Today marks an important historical moment for the field of information and communication technology in Kosovo, as the National ICT Research School (NRSI) is being inaugurated. The National ICT Research School (NRSI) is a product of the PhDITKES project, which was initiated to provide specialized training and education to students and professionals in the ICT field.
The inauguration ceremony was held today and was attended by senior officials, academics, professionals and students from Kosovo and abroad. The ceremony included speeches by officials and academics, as well as presentations on the vision and goals of the National Research School in ICT (NRSI).
The National Research School in ICT (NRSI) is designed to provide high-quality education and training in ICT, with a focus on advanced topics such as artificial intelligence, big data, cyber security and the Internet of Things. The school aims to produce highly skilled professionals who can meet the demands of the growing ICT sector in Kosovo and beyond.
The PhDICTKES project is a joint initiative of the government of Kosovo, the European Union and local and international universities and organizations such as Linnaeus University (LNU), Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) South East European Research Center (SEERC) University of Pristina (UP ) UBT College (UBT) University Ukshin Hoti Prizren, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST). The project aims to support the development of the ICT sector in Kosovo by providing specialized training and education, promoting research and innovation and creating new job opportunities.
The inauguration of the National ICT Research School (NRSI) is an important achievement for Kosovo and a step forward in the country’s efforts to develop a strong and competitive ICT sector. It is hoped that the school will produce a new generation of highly skilled professionals who will drive innovation and growth in the sector.
