

Rector Alishani holds a meeting with Ms. Emilija Redžepi, vice prime minister of Minority Affairs and Humans Rights
On Wednesday, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani, Rector of the Prizren University “Ukshin Hoti”, held a meeting with Ms. Emilja Redžepi, deputy prime minister of the Minority Issues and Humans Rights.
The main focus of the meeting was the overall development of the university with an emphasis on enhancing the study programs related to the community language.
Ms. Redžepi began by expressing her best wishes to Rector Alishani for further success in his new role. She emphasized that higher education institutions, such as Prizren University ‘Ukshin Hoti,’ which not only offers studies in Albanian but also in Bosnian and Turkish languages, have the full support from the Government.
Meanwhile, Rector Alishani expressed his gratitude to Vice Prime Minister Redžepi for her visit, kind wishes, and willingness to support the university. He emphasized his vision for the university, which involves enhancing existing programs and introducing new ones based on market demand. The Rector also highlighted the value of diversity that characterizes Prizren University and expressed a particular focus on the potential for new study programs in Bosnian and Turkish languages. The discussions regarding new programs should be based on the standards set by the Kosovo Accreditation Agency. As for the study programs related to community languages, we hope that the existing facilities and exceptions continue to remain the same, allowing us to fully develop the academic staff capacity,” added the Rector.
Prof. Assoc. Dr. Vedat Bajrami, the Dean of the Faculty of Educaiton; Mr. Nexhmedin Krasniqi, General Secretary; and teaching staff of the study programs in Bosnian language, participated in the meeting
