American Embassy representatives host lectures for “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” campaig
During his speech, Rector Alishani emphasized the University’s dedication to promoting dialogue and raising awareness about gender-based violence issues. He further encouraged participants to actively engage in this area, emphasizing the importance of creating a safe educational and social environment for everyone. The Rector extended his gratitude to the representatives of the American Embassy in Kosovo, as well as their guests from the State Department and the Department of Justice of the United States, for their contributions to this campaign.
Dean Faiku emphasized the significance of sharing information and encouraging awareness within the community about issues related to gender-based violence. He highlighted the crucial roles that institutions, civil society, and media play in addressing this matter.
Extensive lectures on this topic were conducted by representatives of the American Embassy in Kosovo, featuring speakers such as Jennifer Lawson from the State Department, along with John C. Hanley and Eliza Shporta from the United States Department of Justice. Participants had the opportunity to gain insights into the global challenges of gender-based violence and the role of legal science in fighting this issue.
