In case your university has several different agreements with Linnaeus University, please make sure that you nominate the students on the correct agreement/faculty and the correct level, as the agreement will determine the selection and level of courses the students will be offered. Your students will receive detailed information about the courses that are available to them, in the application instructions email that will be sent shortly after we have received the nomination. A copy will also be sent to the nominating coordinator.
Please note that nominations must be made by a representative of the student’s home university with the responsibility of nominating students for the agreement in question. It is therefore not permitted to pass on the nomination link to the student themselves, any unauthorized employees or to any other third party. By submitting the nominations you also confirm that you and the nominated students agree to our data policy*.
Courses and academic structure
Detailed instructions about choosing courses will be sent together with the application information to the students, nevertheless, here a few important notes to consider when nominating students:
- Full time studies for one semester is 30 credits (ECTS).
- Students must fulfill the specific prerequisites for each course they apply for.
- Students are admitted to courses on a first come, first served basis, based on their application date. The possibilities to switch courses after the application is processed are limited and there is no add/drop period after arrival to Linnaeus University.
- Each semester consists of four consecutive periods (not parallel) and courses can last for one or several periods. A full time (100%) course gives a full study load for the period(s) the course lasts, while part time courses (25-75% study load) should be combined with other course(s) in order to reach a full study load in total for each period.
List of courses open for exchange students
In the course list you can filter for faculty, semester, campus, field of studies etcetera. By clicking on a course you will get more information about the content of the course and its prerequisites. We deeply appreciate your help in guiding the students to choose courses where prerequisites are fulfilled and that are eligible for credit transfer after the exchange.
The Beginners’ Swedish Language courses may be selected as a part of the regular study load, or as extra courses. Depending on which agreement the students are nominated on, they may select either one or both Beginners’ Swedish courses. Information on what applies will be given in the application instructions to the students.
