

University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren Celebrates Its 15th Anniversary
The University of Prizren “Ukshin Hoti” marked its 15th anniversary with a solemn ceremony — a significant event that celebrated the institution’s remarkable journey and achievements over a decade and a half of academic excellence and growth.
The ceremony brought together representatives of national and international institutions, university staff, students, and distinguished guests.
In his opening remarks, Rector Prof. Asoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani reflected on the university’s development, achievements, and its vital role in educating and professionally preparing generations of students, emphasizing the institution’s contribution to the academic and social advancement of the Prizren region and beyond.
Pranvera Teli, Minister Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Kosovo, highlighted the University “Ukshin Hoti” as a strong bridge of cooperation between Kosovo and Albania, fostering deeper academic and cultural ties between the two nations.
Former Rector Prof. Dr. Mazllum Baraliu also praised the university’s progress and commended the dedication of its academic and administrative staff in continuously enhancing the quality of education.

By the end of the ceremony, certificates of appreciation and scholarships were awarded to outstanding students in recognition of their academic excellence and active engagement in university life.
Currently, the University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren counts approximately 4,300 active students, reflecting its commitment to inclusive and quality education.
Looking forward, the University remains dedicated to strengthening academic standards and research capacities, expanding international collaborations, and modernizing educational infrastructure — building an even stronger environment for student and staff development.
This anniversary marks an important milestone in the University’s 15-year journey as a center of knowledge, research, and academic cooperation at both national and international levels.
