Ms. Liza Gashi d. minister of MFA meets International Students at the Summer School in Prizren
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Ms. Liza Gashi, accompanied by the host, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani, the Rector of the University of Prizren “Ukshin Hoti” , held an inspiring meeting with international students as part of the International Summer School in Prizren. During this meeting, Ms. Gashi shared her experience, from her education at international universities to her journey towards executive leadership, innovation, policy analysis, and her current role as Deputy Minister in the MFA.
In the meeting with the summer school students, Ms. Gashi emphasized the Government’s commitment to enhancing the country’s image on the international stage through public diplomacy, including education, and building sustainable relationships within the global community. Her motivational presentation to the international students ignited their interest and led to in-depth discussions on this topic.
With her experience focusing on engaging diaspora communities in advancing the development and democratization of their home countries, Ms. Gashi has been a prominent figure in shaping public discourse on diaspora matters. She has advocated for the advancement of national policies, legislation, and institutional approaches to diaspora engagement for many years. Prior to her engagement in the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, she managed a successful platform for engagement and diplomacy, which promoted Kosovo’s sovereignty internationally through diaspora success stories.
In addition to her proficiency in Albanian, Ms. Gashi speaks fluent English and Spanish. She completed her Master’s studies in Public Administration at the University of Arizona and holds a degree in International Relations, Political Science, and Spanish Language and Literature from Wartburg College. She is also a proud alumna of the United World College in Costa Rica.
