Rector Alishani met with Hungarian Ambassador Bela Bozsik
On Friday, Professor Assoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani, Rector of Prizren University “Ukshin Hoti”, met with Bela Bozsik, the Hungarian Ambassador in Kosovo. The meeting was attended by the Vice Rector for International Cooperation and Quality Enhancement, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Serdan Kervan, as well as the Vice Rector for Budget, Finance, and Infrastructure, Professor Assoc. Dr. Adelina Rakaj. Additionally, the ambassador was accompanied by his collaborators.
The Rector expressed appreciation for Ambassador Bozik’s visit. During their meeting, the Rector informed the ambassador about the university’s history, achievements, and the challenges it has faced. He emphasized that despite being a new university, it stands as the second public state university and has made significant progress in enhancing quality and gaining international recognition. The university has hosted foreign students through its international summer school and welcomed numerous foreign researchers through international scientific conferences and collaborations with universities worldwide. Within this context, the Rector expressed readiness to collaborate with Hungarian universities on projects of mutual interest.
Accordingly, Ambassador Bozik expressed his support for the university and Kosovo overall.
In this context, he mentioned that the Hungarian Embassy, as part of the Stipendium Hungaricum program, offers 65 scholarships for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students to study in Hungary.
The Hungarian Government has established the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program to promote the internationalization of Hungarian higher education and attract the best international students worldwide. These students can build personal and professional relationships with Hungary while enjoying higher education in the heart of Europe.
