Students’ Parliament, in collaboration with the University management, co-organized a literary hour and an artistic program to honor November celebrations.
University Rector, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani, highlighted that today we are celebrating November 28, which is one of the most important days in our national history, our Flag Day. “On this day of glory, we carry the powerful inheritance of resistance and dedication for our freedom. Our national flag symbolizes unity, glory, and the will of a nation to do everything for freedom and independence. Our history is filled with sacrifices and heroism; thus, November 28 helps us remember the dedication of those who fought for our country’s liberation and independence. We must honor and respect them by continuing to work for a better and more united future”, emphasized Rector Alishani. “We should be proud of our national identity and work together for a brighter future”, he concluded.
Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Xhafer Beqiraj, highlighted in his speech that on this significant day, we should take pride in our glorious history and express gratitude to those who have and continue to work tirelessly for the common good. “Let’s remain dedicated to preserving and advancing what we have achieved by following the path of freedom, independence, and democracy, aiming for a better international future”, he emphasized. “Our nation has made significant progress, supporting the rights and fundamental freedoms of its citizens, regardless of religion or ethnicity. It encourages the promotion of common values and encourages unity, which leads us to independence and a promising future”, he concluded.
The President of the Students’ Parliament, Samire Karavidaj, emphasized that today we gather to celebrate a day awaited for centuries, celebrating our national freedom. “We have our national celebration like any other nation. We could even state that Our Great Day – November 28 – holds a significance beyond a national celebration. It has been referred to, not coincidentally, as the “Albanian Holy Day” in various titles”, she highlighted.
