Dr. Albana Plakiqi-Milaimi Vice Chancellor for Teaching, Student Affairs and Scientific Research, and coordinator of the Career & Alumni Center at the University, Mr. On Thursday, Nehat Gashi held a meeting with the deans of the academic units, heads of study programs, the president of the Student Parliament and the presidents of the student councils in the academic units, to discuss the activity of the Welcome Week of new students at “Ukshin Hoti” University. Prizren.

Vice-Rector Plakiqi-Milaimi informed the attendees that this year “Ukshin Hoti” University will organize the Welcome Week activity to help students prepare and be ready to start their studies.

It is a dedicated time for students to explore the University and campus, meet fellow students, faculty, program leaders, and learn about the student life that awaits them. We will provide you with essential information to get you started, opportunities to socialize, explore and contribute and ensure you have a positive first impression and lasting connection with the University.

For each study program based on the agenda to be published, a welcome meeting will be held by the Dean, the head of the program, the coordinator of the Career Center and the President of the Student Council of the academic unit. Students will be informed about the study program, the opportunities offered by the university, they will be informed about the structures of the faculty and the teaching process. On this day, students will be notified of the Student Handbook and the Study Program Handbook.

The main welcome activities will be organized on 18 and 19 October 2021, based on the agenda to be published in due course.

According to the requests, the heads of the programs will also personally meet the interested students, throughout the week based on the needs they have for additional clarifications. This will be done for 5 days from October 18-22, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

On the days of the Welcome Week, students will be able to visit the campus where they will get to know the classrooms, the library, the laboratories, the cafeteria, and other spaces.

We remind you that due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, every student who enters the University must possess one of the certificates, based on the Decision of the Government of Kosovo no. 01/35 dated 12.09.2021, for general and special measures to control, prevent and fight the COVID-19 Pandemic: Vaccination certificate for full vaccination or receiving a dose of the vaccine against COVID-19; Negative RT-PCR test for COVID-19, not older than 72 hours; Evidence that the person has passed COVID-19 (positive RT-PCR test issued no less than 21 days and no more than 180 days or positive result of the setrological antibody test -IgG, issued no more than 30 days ago; Test rapid antigen negative not older than 48 hours.”
