As part of Welcome Week 2025, new students were solemnly welcomed today at the University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren.

The ceremony opened with a welcome speech by Rector, Prof. Mentor Alishani, who encouraged the new students to make the most of their academic journey. He emphasized that the university is a place rich with opportunities for personal and professional growth, highlighting the importance of mutual support and cooperation between academic staff and students.

Afterwards, Vice-Rector, Prof. Adelina Rakaj, presented the Code of Ethics, stressing its importance in creating an academic and professional environment. She noted that the Code of Ethics serves as a valuable guide to help students overcome challenges and build a successful career.

Then, Mr. Nehat Gashi, Head of the Career and Alumni Center, presented the key role of the center in supporting students in developing professional skills, creating opportunities for internships and employment, as well as the services it provides to all university students.

A greeting address was also delivered by Deputy Chair of the Student Parliament, Ms. Bleona Buduri, who underlined the crucial role of this body in representing the students’ voice and in improving academic and social conditions.

The event concluded with an invitation to students to actively participate in the other activities of Welcome Week 2025, explore their academic units, and create new connections and unforgettable experiences in this new stage of their lives.
