

University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren Welcomes the Ambassador of Italy to Kosovo
On January 21, 2026, the University “Ukshin Hoti”Prizren hosted a meeting with the Ambassador of Italy to Kosovo, Mr. Maurizio Antonini, within the framework of strengthening interinstitutional and international cooperation.
The meeting was held on the University premises and aimed to present the strategic vision of the University “Ukshin Hoti” in Prizren, as well as to open a direct dialogue with the Embassy of Italy regarding opportunities for cooperation in academic, cultural, institutional, and economic fields.
A particular focus was placed on the presentation of the Italian Corner (Këndi Italia), a space dedicated to promoting the Italian language and culture in Kosovo, established with the support of the civil-military cooperation (CIMIC) of the Italian KFOR, Regional Command West. The Italian Corner aims to serve as a reference point for students, academic staff, and the wider community by offering Italian language courses, cultural activities, and support for academic and professional mobility toward Italy.
Within this framework, an online meeting was held with representatives of the University of Perugia, namely Vice-Rector Francesco Asdrubali and Prof. Roberto Dolci, during which the steps toward signing a Memorandum of Understanding for academic cooperation between the two institutions were discussed and agreed upon.

During the discussions, the importance of strengthening relations between Italy and Kosovo in the field of higher education was emphasized, as well as the promotion of the Italian language and culture and the development of joint projects that contribute to the internationalization of the University and the creation of new opportunities for students and academic staff.
