

Cooperation Agreement between the University of Prizren and the Institute for Crimes Committed During the War in Kosovo
Today, at the University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren, a signing ceremony was held for the Memorandum of Cooperation between the University and the Institute for Crimes Committed during the War in Kosovo (ICCWK). The Institute’s delegation, led by its Executive Director, Atdhe Hetemi, was received by the Rector of the University, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani. The meeting was attended by Albiana Arbeni, Acting Director of the Department of Documentation; Mimoza Gjevori, Senior Officer for Source Identification; and Dritan Imeti, Senior Regional Officer. Also present were members of the University’s management: Prof. Ass. Dr. Luan Vardari, Vice-Rector for Teaching, Student Affairs, and Scientific Research; Prof. Assoc. Dr. Serdan Kervan, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Quality Enhancement; and Prof. Ass. Dr. Adelina Rakaj, Vice-Rector for Budget, Finance, and Infrastructure. The memorandum aims to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including the implementation of research projects and the organization of conferences, seminars, and other academic and scientific activities. As part of this collaboration, the parties will work on developing educational programs related to the history, documentation, and consequences of war crimes in Kosovo, while also actively involving students in these initiatives. Furthermore, the agreement provides for the sharing of professional resources, access to archives and libraries for research purposes, and the organization of joint activities aimed at raising awareness and advancing academic and scientific cooperation. The Memorandum, valid for a period of four years, represents an important step toward strengthening inter-institutional partnerships. It was officially signed by the Rector of the University, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani, and the Executive Director of ICCWK, Atdhe Hetemi.
