The National School Board for ICT Research Holds Its First Meeting at Prizren University
Today, the University Rector, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani, met with the National School Board for ICT Research. The attendees included Prof. Dr. Arianit Kurti from Linnaeus University in Sweden, Prof. Dr. Anita Mirijamdoter from Linnaeus University in Sweden, Prof. Dr. Sefer Avdiaj (Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, Projects, Innovation, and Information at Prishtina University), Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi from UBT and Prof. Assoc. Dr. Zirije Hasani, Deputy Dean of FCS, who represents the school in which our University is also a part. At this board meeting at “Ukshin Hoti” University, Rector Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani also participated.
The school board includes international and local universities that have been coordinators and partners in this project, such as Linnaeus University, the University of Prizren, the University of Prishtina, and UBT. Prof. Assoc. Dr. Zirije Hasani represents Prizren University “Ukshin Hoti” on this board.
At this meeting, various issues were discussed, including school development, the Sustainability Plan for the National Research School in ICT, and the application plan for the next project within the framework of this school.
The National School for Research in ICT (https://nrsi-ks.eu/) was established as a result of the three-year Erasmus+ project, PhDICTKES, in which our university, particularly the Faculty of Computer Science, participated as a partner.
The purpose of the National Research School of Kosovo in ICT is to serve as an umbrella for the TIK doctorate programs in the Republic of Kosovo. It will organize trainings, workshops, webinars and other joint activities, aiming to advance ICT in Kosovo.
