Professor Müller-Brandeck-Bocquet, at the Prizren University “Ukshin Hoti”, delivered a public lecture of significant importance for German-French relations on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Elysee Treaty. The lecture, titled “German-French Relations as an Integration Engine and New Challenges for Europe”, drew the attention of students, academic staff, and other guests, who listened with great interest.
Professor Müller-Brandeck-Bocquet emphasized the importance of the rich history and collaboration in German-French relations, which have played a major role in building the structures of the European Union. She also focused on the new challenges that Europe faces today and the role that Germany and France play in solving those problems.
Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani, the Rector of “Ukshin Hoti” University, warmly welcomed the professor to his office and expressed his appreciation for the professor’s contribution to promoting knowledge and encouraging open debates on important European issues. Rector Alishani added that Kosovo feels privileged to have friendly relations with a powerful nation like Germany and that the collaboration between them is a continuous dedication to strengthening relations between the two states and helping develop Kosovo.
Meanwhile, on behalf of the German Embassy, Ms. Anja Grossmann highlighted that Germany fully supports Kosovo’s integration process into the European Union. She also added that the EU needs an internal reformation in order to be able to accept new members.
