

PCU Committee | Fair Play Initiatives 2021 | Invitations
In cooperation with the PCU Committee (the university platform of Panathlon International, Fair Play organization recognized by the International Olympic Committee), the University of Antwerp (Belgium) is involved in the organization of a lot of international Sports- and Art-related events. The main objective is to offer students a platform where sport is considered as a valuable instrument to develop international interaction and experience, with emphasis on the International Olympic Committee recognized Panathlon values of Fair Play and International Friendship.
With current Covid-restrictions in Belgium we are able to organize some events on location once more. We would like to extend a formal invitation to your University/University College to participate in these events, listed below. Participation to these events is free.
1| The PCU Post Covid Initiative survey. We hope you could take 2 minutes time to fill in this small survey about the ongoing impact of Covid-19 on your student sport workings at your University or University College. It has only a few short questions and would help us out greatly. The deadline of participation is 4 november.
2| PCU International University Tennis Tournament (PIUTT) : PIUTT@HOME
> 3-5 November 2021
> The PIUTT is a yearly Tennis tournament, normally organized in October in Moscow (Russia) in cooperation with Financial University and Dubna State University. Due to ongoing Covid restrictions, the PIUTT 2021 will take place one more time online as PIUTT@HOME. The online event features Tennis Challenges for students to participate in. 3| PCU Chess Cup
> 3-5 December 2021
> The PCU Chess Cup is a yearly (rapid) Chess tournament, held in Antwerp (Belgium) in December. In addition, on Wednesday 1 December, an online chess blitz tournament (PCU Chess@Home) will be organized, to enable participation for all students worldwide unable to travel. 4| PCU Drawing Contest
> Deadline: 31 December 2021
> The theme of this Art Contest for students worldwide is “Fair Play in (University) Sports”. The 3 best artists receive a financial reward and the 15 best drawings are exhibited during a number of international expositions in 2021. More information can be found on the website of the Drawing Contest.
5| PCU Photo Contest
> Deadline: 31 December 2021
> The theme of this Photo Contest for photographers worldwide is “Fair Play in (University) Sports”. The 3 best photos receive a financial reward and are exhibited during a number of international expositions in 2021. More information can be found on the website of the Photo Contest.
6| PCU Games
> 27-29 April 2022
> The PCU Games are a yearly tournament in Basketball, Futsal and Volleyball, organized in April in Antwerp (Belgium). A formal invitation for this event will be sent at the end of 2021. More information is already available on our website.
